What To Expect
It's common to feel a bit nervous when getting a massage for the first time, but there's no need to worry.
The process is outlined below, designed to help ease any concerns you may have and ensure you know what to expect. Your massage therapist, Michelle, will be there to guide you every step of the way, and answer any questions you may have, so you can fully relax and enjoy the experience.

Arrival at Massage with M
Our purpose-built massage studio is located at 1478 Cameron Road, Greerton, Tauranga.
Upon arrival, we kindly request that you drive up the driveway and park in the designated customer parking.
Follow the sign arrows to direct you to the studio entrance.
Most of the time I, Michelle, will be there to greet you. But if you arrive early, please feel free to enter the studio, and relax in the comfortable arm chair, and I will be with you as soon as possible.

Getting To Know You
When you first arrive, we spend anywhere between 5 minutes - 30 minutes getting to know you, discussing the client intake form and answering any questions you might have.
This time is about ensuring I have the information needed to continue with safe massage treatment, informing you about the process, finding out your individual needs, and making sure you feel safe and comfortable before we proceed.
I will also check the balm/oil preference for massage, see if you would like eucalyptus essential oil under the face cradle, and check the music is okay for you. If there were any other preferences entered on your pre-massage intake form, I will ensure these are adhered to. It's also a good opportunity to have any further questions answered.

The Massage
I will leave the massage room and leave you to get unchanged and lie down on the massage table. There will be a cotton sarong (and blanket if its colder weather), for you to drape over your body. I will give you some time and then knock to check you are ready for me to come in to begin the massage.
